1. To make Tesla coil you need a transformer of capacity of 9000V and 30 milliamps. A lot of people go for neon transformers since those are most easily obtainable. Some also go for automotive coil or oil furnace ignition transformers that are known for delivering much better results.

2. Next obtain 5 sheets of polystyrene alternating and layer it together with 4 aluminum or copper plates. What you get out of it is called capacitor. We will soon need this to make Tesla Coil.

3. Create spark gaps with the help of bolts and L shaped brackets. On the all ends of the bolts apply small rounded caps.

4. Take a cylinder with 8 inches or more in diameter and wrap a bare wire seven times around it. Next, you need 4 PVC pipes. Take a knife or some other sharp tool and create holes about one eight of inch apart from each other in all of the pipes, then roll the wire around pipes and through the holes to create the coil.

5. To continue our make Tesla coil again you need a PVC pipe, but this one should be only 3 inches in diameter. Take enamel wire and wrap it about 500 times tightly around the pipe. This will serve as your next coil. Take a varnish and apply it evenly over the entire pipe.

6. Third part will also be created out of a 2 PVC pipes one and a half inch in diameter. Wrap enamel wire 20 times around both pipes. These gadgets will serve as radio-frequency chokes.
